This is probably because the story is set in a medieval England era so hearing the characters speak in English is not that far of a stretch. Moreover, the english dubs were really good đđđ. I started watching this anime because comedy (check), well-drawn and well-animated bishounens (check) and mostly because the idea of ending up in another dimension after getting flushed down the toilet was terribly amusing. After Yuri wins the duel by utilising his magical powers, the demons slowly begin to acknowledge him as their monarch. Now, Yuri has to deal with trying to become a good Demon King, while at the same time attempting to adapt to this landsâ customs and culture, all in a world where the tension between the humans and the demon kind is reaching its peak. There, he is told that he will become the next Demon King of the Great Demon Kingdom due to his black hair and black eyes, traits only possessed by the demonâs royal lineage. Yuriâs arrival is met with some skepticism by some of the demons, who view him as unworthy to be their king. Whatâs more, he accidentally got himself engaged to a man! and has gotten himself into a duel with said man. But instead of water, the toilet contains a swirling portal that sucks him into another world. Kyou Kara Maoh! revolves around Yuri Shibuya, an average Japanese baseball-loving teenager. That changed the day he was dunked into a toilet after an attempt to save a classmate from a gang of bullies.
